Each year, the Huntsville-Madison County Hospitality Association awards scholarships to assist locals on their educational journey - both for current students and for continued education.

HMCHA's goal is to encourage people to see the reward and potential available in a career in the Hospitality Field while supporting all areas of study.  Our Association is composed of a variety of professionals - from different backgrounds and degrees - who have made successful careers in Hospitality and it is our desire to bring attention to those employees who help make Huntsville, Alabama the "Gem of the South" through their hard work in our hotels, restaurants, attractions, and suppliers.

Three Scholarship Types:

  1. General Scholarships:
    • Student must be employed by a current Member Property of the Huntsville-Madison County Hospitality Association OR are a dependent of an employee of a Member Property.
    • Student must reside within, or plan to attend a school within, the Huntsville-Madison County area. 
    • If student is employed by Member Property, he or she must have been employed for six months prior to application and be in favorable standings with employer. 
    • Application and requested information must be submitted prior to the deadline for review.
  2. B'Lisa King Professional Development Scholarship:
    • Available to active members of HMCHA to further their career.
  3. STS Marketing College Scholarship:
    • Applicants must be currently employed with an active Member Property to qualify for this scholarship.
